How to revamp Congress - request to Mr. Rahul

Don’t feel dejected on the debacle happened to UPA and personally for you at Amethi. It was a war between David and Goliath . Naturally, the winner was Goliath. But, David is young and he gets a chance if plan wisely. 

Your party is not a cadre party. It is a crowd. That should change first. You should continue as congress president, not as CLP leader. Make a plan for democratic elections in the party from the ward level. 

The term of ward members and other office bearers can be fixed as three years. The ward members can be elected from the ordinary members of that locality. The ward members can elect the block members and block members can elect the district committee. The district committee can elect the state committee. Sate committee can be made the apex body of that state and they can elect the representatives of that state for the central committee.

 The central committee can be made the accountable body for national level campaigns. The working committee members can be elected from the central committee.

Ask all veterans sitting at CWC to opt out and young blood should be inducted. Caste and  religion  should not be made the base for selecting members. It should be based on the mass support the candidate has. 

By systematic  planning, you can make such a change with in six months. Forget about coming state elections , that will go parallelly. After identifying a leader to become the congress president, you place him/her on that seat and then take over the post of CLP leader. You can counter Modi  and party president can counter Amit sha .
